OPERATION CHRISTMAS CHILD. This year Calvary Ventura is participating again with Samaritan’s Purse Operation Christmas Child (OCC) to pack shoeboxes. The mission of OCC is to demonstrate God’s love in a tangible way to children in need around the world. Samaritan’s Purse partners with the local church worldwide to share the Good News of Jesus Christ and make disciples of the nations. We will be collecting shoeboxes from October 18 through November 15, 2026. See Laura Taylor and/or Marianne Jones with questions. Click here for details.

Fall Treat Fundraiser for OCC. Sunday, November 1, 8:30-9:15am and after service. This fundraiser helps to offset the shipping costs for Operation Christmas Child when shipping the filled shoeboxes. We will be having hot cider, hot cocoa, coffee, tea and baked goods.

Women’s Ministry Shoebox packing party. Saturday, November 14, 9:30-11:30am. Women, we would love to have you join us for fellowship, fun, and a Continental breakfast to pack some boxes for Operation Christmas Child. We will be taking time to connect, spend time with friends and make new ones. Rescue Mission Outreach. Men’s Ministry Group, Friday, November 6, 4:15pm, at the Ventura County Rescue Mission in Oxnard. MIDWEEK MINISTRIES

  • Moms in Prayer. Mondays, 11am, in the Youth Ministry room. We are mothers who, together, bring all our concerns before our Heavenly Father. Let us stand with you in prayer for your children and their schools. 
  • Men’s Ministry. Meets every Tuesday, starting September 8, @ 6:30pm. Join us for a group study through the book of Nehemiah.  Click here for more info
  • Women’s Ministry. We meet every other Tuesday of each month, beginning September 1, at 6:30pm in the Main Sanctuary. Join us in our study of the names of God.  Click here for more info
  • Youth Ministry.  We meet the 1st and 3rd Wednesday of each month from 6:30-8pm. The High School and Junior High ministry invites all 6th through 12th grade students to fellowship with us. This ministry builds relationships with God and people through discipleship, serving, studying the bible, and worshiping Jesus! Our mission is TO KNOW JESUS AND MAKE HIM KNOWN! –Click here for more info.
  • Young Adults Ministry (18-25 yrs old). Come join us on the 1st and 3rd Friday of each month at 7pm, for a sweet time of fellowship and the Word. Contact Pastor Wilfredo or Vivian for more info.

LIFE GROUPS

Jesus said, “…I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.” This abundance Jesus spoke of is not abundant wealth or abundant possessions, it’s abundant fruitfulness! Jesus has come that we might bear abundant fruit for God’s glory (John 15:8). And just like any fruit bearing tree, in order to bear abundant fruit we need to be planted in the right soil containing the right nutrients and the right amount of exposure. This is precisely what a Life Group is designed to offer, the goal being that we would all bear abundant spiritual fruit for God’s glory! Click here for more info

  • Children’s Ministry. Our Children’s Ministry is growing and with that grows our need for teachers, assistants, and toddler care.
