New Ministry Launch!

Hey Calvary Ventura! This April we will be launching a revised School Of Ministry curriculum called “Teleion”. It has been modified to offer a broader curriculum and with much greater accessibility in order to accommodate more people.

Our first class meeting will take place on Thursday evening, April 16th at 7:00 pm in the Children’s Ministry room. The title of this first class encompasses the primary purpose of the TELEION ministry. It’s called: “Pursuing God Together” It will consist of 5 class sessions taking place over 10 weeks. Please mark your calendars.

Special 20-Year Anniversary Service– Sunday April 19th at 9:30am. Come join us for a special worship service as we celebrate what God has done through Calvary Ventura’s 20 years of ministry in Ventura, surrounding communities and the mission field through preaching, teaching, prayer and outreach services! We will have tacos for after service fellowship.

MIDWEEK MINISTRIES
  • Moms in Prayer. Mondays, 10am, in the Youth Ministry room. We are mothers who, together, bring all our concerns before our Heavenly Father. Let us stand with you in prayer for your children and their schools.
  • Biblical Peer Counseling. Wednesday afternoons. If you are struggling with an issue, or just need someone to talk to, and desire Christ-centered counsel, contact Kathy Gulley below to schedule an appointment.   • Youth Ministry. We meet every Wednesday, 6:30-8pm. The High School and Junior High ministry invites all 6th through 12th grade students to fellowship with us. This ministry builds relationships with God and people through discipleship, serving, studying the bible, and worshiping Jesus! Our mission is TO KNOW JESUS AND MAKE HIM KNOWN!   • Women’s Ministry. We meet the 1st and 3rd Tuesday at 6:30pm in the Main Sanctuary. Click here for more info
  • Men’s Small Group Study. Meeting every Tuesday, 6:30pm. Join us for a group study through the book of Exodus. Click here for more info
  • Young Adults Ministry (18-25 yrs old). Come join us on the 1st and 3rd Friday of each month at 7pm, for a sweet time of fellowship and the Word. Contact Pastor Wilfredo or Vivian for more info.
LIFE GROUPS

Jesus said, “…I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.” This abundance Jesus spoke of is not abundant wealth or abundant possessions, it’s abundant fruitfulness! Jesus has come that we might bear abundant fruit for God’s glory (John 15:8). And just like any fruit bearing tree, in order to bear abundant fruit we need to be planted in the right soil containing the right nutrients and the right amount of exposure. This is precisely what a Life Group is designed to offer, the goal being that we would all bear abundant spiritual fruit for God’s glory! Click here for more info

OPPORTUNITIES TO SERVE
  • Children’s Ministry. Our Children’s Ministry is growing and with that grows our need for teachers, assistants, and toddler care.

  • Broadcast/Sound booth. We are in need three teams of 3-4 people to be trained up and serve in the broadcast, sound and/or Proclaim (worship lyrics) parts of our ministry.  For more information see Sean in the sound booth or click here.
