Greetings Calvary Ventura Family,

As we allow the Holy Spirit to navigate us through this challenging season, we are reminded of the words of our Lord in John 16, “These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world.” May you leave your cares at the foot of the cross, knowing that we can have peace because our Savior has overcome the world!

Thank you for making efforts to connect. We at Calvary Ventura have received numerous prayer requests and praise reports via email, social media and our website. We love to hear from you and we love to pray for you! We have also heard of many of you connecting on your own with each other. Please continue to do so. This is how we will remain united together in this time of being apart. May the Lord use this time to draw His people closer to Him and each to other. Remember also to keep Health Care professionals, Missionaries, the Church, and the lost in prayer.  May we continue to pray without ceasing, knowing our wonderful Savior hears us.

CURRENT UPDATES:

Church Live (YouTube) – Calvary Ventura: We are continuing to upgrade and fine-tune our audio/visual equipment and techniques for live service broadcasts. We are thankful and blessed by what God is doing through the servants in those ministries. For live services go to www.calvaryventura.org/watch-live/ or the Calvary Ventura YouTube page. Previously recorded services can also be found on the Calvary Ventura YouTube page.

Children’s Ministry: We will continue to post Children’s Ministry devotionals on our web site every Thursday for family discussion.

Good Friday Service – 7:00 PMChurch Live on YouTube, or www.CalvaryVentura.org

This will be an intimate time of worship and God’s Word, meditating together on what Jesus did for us at the cross. We will also be celebrating communion together. Ensure ahead of time that you have bread and juice ready at home. And, while preparing your communion table at home, also prepare your hearts. Is there anything that needs to be confessed to God, thanking Him for His forgiveness? Confess it to Him and then thank Him for His forgiveness (1 John 1:9).

Easter Sunday Service – 9:00 AMChurch Live on YouTube, or www.CalvaryVentura.org

This will be a celebration of Hope and Life. He Lives! Join us as we worship our living Savior in song and word, to celebrate His victorious resurrection! Easter Sunday should not to be minimized, canceled or even postponed. Because Easter is the day we remember and commemorate that Jesus Christ is not in a tomb somewhere in Israel. He is risen from the dead. He is alive forevermore! And because He lives, we too shall live!

Finally, please continue to check our webpage www.calvaryventura.org, and connect with us via social media (Facebook, Instagram) for more updates. We encourage you to Like Us on your social media account, and subscribe to our YouTube Channel. Stay in touch and keep looking up. Be safe and continue to be vigilant in order that we may “flatten the curve” together.

We will continue to lift you in prayer and look forward with anticipation to the day we again gather together… whether here, there or in the air!

In His love,
Calvary Ventura

“Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy—meditate on these things
(Philippians 4:6-8).”
