Let’s Worship Together on Sunday!
Oh come, let us sing to the Lord! Let us shout joyfully to the Rock of our salvation. Let us come before His presence with thanksgiving; let us shout joyfully to Him with psalms. For the Lord is the great God, and the great King above all gods. (Psalm 95:1-3)
First of all, thank you all for your prayers and patience during this time of adjustment and change. After a few days of seeking the Lord’s direction and many conversations, we are convinced God is calling us to gather for worship in a fresh way!
How will we do this?
Beginning this Sunday, July 26, we will be gathering as a church family in the church parking lot to worship our Lord Jesus outside in song, prayer and His Word.
We will be having one service at 10AM for the entire church body. No registration will be required, but we will continue to follow the CDC and state protocols recommending masks and social distancing for the health and well-being of our church family. Seating will continue to be 6-feet apart by household as we were doing in the main sanctuary.
There will also be a small number of parking spaces available (5 or 6) if you would like to attend drive-in movie style.
Due to technical constraints, we will not be broadcasting live on Sunday morning at this time. However, we will still be recording the service and uploading it to our webpage, YouTube, and social media by Sunday evening for those who are unable to join us in person.
What should you bring?
Bring your heart of worship and joy of His salvation! Bring your cares and your burdens to leave at His feet! Bring your Bibles, chairs, masks, coffee, and water bottles. Since we will be outside, check the weather report before coming in case you need a jacket, sun protection, or anything else you need to sit comfortably and receive what the Lord has for you.
Where do we park?
We have a relationship with Lassens which allows us to use their parking lot on Sundays. Please park there. We will also have a few parking spaces available at the front of our parking lot. Please leave these spaces for our family members who have wheelchairs or difficulty walking.
How can you help/serve?
We will need a few teams of servants to make this happen, and pray that our family will come together to use their gifts and serve the Lord and the body as one. Opportunities to serve include:
Contact Pastor DanO if it’s on your heart to say, “Here I am Lord”
This is just the beginning!
“Do not remember the former things, nor consider the things of old. Behold, I will do a new thing, now it shall spring forth; shall you not know it? I will even make a road in the wilderness and rivers in the desert.” (Isaiah 43:18-19)
We fully believe that the Lord has something fresh, new, and radically different that He wants to do. He wants to work in us, through us, and with us not only as individuals, but also as a church family to let His light shine in the city of Ventura. We pray you will join us on Sunday morning and continue with us in prayer for His direction, wisdom, and guidance as we open up our hearts and minds to what He has planned. Nevertheless, not our will but Yours Lord!
