Greetings Church Family!
“Though the mountains be shaken and the hills be removed, yet My unfailing love for you will not be shaken nor My covenant of peace be removed,” says the Lord, who has compassion on you. (Isaiah 54:10)
We hope and pray that you are aware of the Lord’s presence and finding peace in His unfailing love for you!
If you read nothing else, know beyond a shadow of a doubt that God loves you and is with you, promising to cause ALL things to work together for good to you who love Him and are called according to His way.
But, I do hope you’ll continue reading…
It’s been a wonderful blessing as we’ve opened our doors and begun gathering together for worship and fellowship in person again. A big thank you to our ministry servants who have been doing a Spirit-led job of preparing, greeting, cleaning, disinfecting and ensuring the church is ready for us on Sundays! And a heartfelt thank you to our church family who have been so understanding regarding the protocols necessary to have our doors open and keep each other safe and healthy.
Invitation to Worship Together!
We look forward to you joining us.
Some of us have health conditions (either our own or family members) that make it necessary to continue to worship on-line from home. God bless you, stay prayerful and let the Holy Spirit give you wisdom as to when to join us in person. Stay mindful and joyful that where you are gathered in His name, Jesus is there with you! We will be praying for you and looking forward to the day we can worship together in person.
For the rest of us who have not been back yet, if the Lord is calling you to worship together may we encourage you to take that step of faith and come? Maybe you’re nervous or scared… take it to the Lord in prayer. Maybe you’re getting a little too comfortable with “church at home”… take it to the Lord in prayer. God’s heart for us is to worship together to stir up love and good works in each other, exhorting one another, and so much the more as you see the Day approaching (Hebrews 10:24-25). As we look across our nation and throughout the world, it is evident His day is approaching and we need each other.
The first step is prayer. The next step is trusting God’s leading. The third step is walking out the door!
What are the safety measures being taken? We will continue with our practice of social distancing between seats, masks are required, hand sanitizers will be available and we disinfect the church before and between services. A full explanation of our health and safety protocols can be found in this link to our Church Emergency Operation Plan (CEOP).
Is there enough room? Yes! The last two Sundays we have had seats available at each service and we also have an overflow room if necessary. At this time we are not asking anyone to attend on an every-other Sunday basis. If God is stirring you to come, and you choose to say yes to Him, COME! Follow this link to pre-register. Pre-registration will be available from noon Tuesday through 3pm Saturday.
Opportunities to Serve
We have plenty of opportunities to join in serving the Lord and our church family. Soundbooth (camera operator, PowerPoint, sound, director), Main Sanctuary (greeters, ushers, cleaners), Worship team, etc. Send us an email at firstname.lastname@example.org or call the church office as God stirs your heart.
Church Family Fellowship
We will be having a church family fellowship/worship night and hope you can join us. It will be on Saturday, June 27, from 5pm-8pm at the Graham Ranch in Ventura. We will be practicing social distancing and, due to the June 18 mask mandate released by Governor Newsom, ask that you bring a mask with you. Just as important, bring your spirit of fellowship, your heart of worship, a picnic dinner for you and your family, something to sit on, and a jacket (it can get cool at the Ranch… literally and figuratively). Contact us at email@example.com for directions to the Graham Ranch.
We are prayerfully discussing/planning Phase II of our Re-Opening and ask that you would keep the church leadership in prayer for God’s wisdom and unity of the Spirit. We are looking to kick-off Phase II in July which will include bringing back to the church our small groups (Women, Men, Roots, etc.) and Sunday morning Youth Service. We will share more information with you as God leads us.
From the heartfelt words the Holy Spirit gave John, “I had many things to write, but I do not wish to write to you with pen and ink; but I hope to see you shortly, and we shall speak face to face. Peace to you. Our friends greet you. Greet the friends by name.” (3 John 1:13-14)
In His love,
